North Shore District Softball Association will turn completely "PINK" on Saturday, June 30th for their Strike Out Breast Cancer Fundraising Day. The Village Green on Cowan Rd, St Ives will showcase at least 1000 softballers dressed in their finest pink garments.
Raising over $45000 in their successful 2011 Strike Out campaign, Shore is looking to raise the bar in 2012 with another almighty donation to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Saturday's fundraiser will kick off from 6:50am with live crosses to the Channel Nine Weekend Today Show followed by a surprise at 7:25am, a Celebrity Charity Softball Match, Home Run Derby, face painting, cake stall, photo portraits(by Donkin Gook Photography), raffles, silent auction, live band performance in the afternoon and many other activities throughout the day.
So why not get dressed in your finest pink attire or purchase some of the pink breast cancer merchandise on sale at the grounds and take part in all the fun while supporting this worthy charity.
