The Campbelltown Open Women`s Team are the inaugural winners of the Softball NSW State Cup after defeating Manly Warringah in the final 1 - 0. The State Cup is a qualifying event for the Open Women`s State Championship to be held on the October Long Weekend at the NSW Softball Centre. Campbelltown and Manly Warringah will join North Shore, Georges River, Sutherland, Cumberland Nepean, Northern Country and Southern Country at the State Championship. Final Placings for the State Cup were: 1st Campbelltown 2nd Manly Warringah 3rd Penrith City 4th Illawarra 5th Southern Districts Congratulations also to Ryan Benson (Georges River) who was successful in gaining his Level 3 Umpiring Accreditation over the weekend.
