In 2011, the Aussie Steelers competed at the IV International Men's World Championship where they defeated Argentina in the final, 1-0. This tour was a lead up to the 2013 ISF XIII Men's World Championships held in Auckland, New Zealand. The team was selected following completion of the John Reid Shield, Australian Open Men's Championship held in the ACT from 4-8 December 2012.
Bob and Laing Harrow are co-head coaches of the Aussie Steelers.
